Research Overview

Sarah Blackford,SFHEA, is an honorary teaching fellow at Lancaster university and independent career consultant, who specialises in supporting bioscience students, early career researchers and academics. With a background in bioscience research and publishing and an MA in careers education and guidance in HE, Sarah focusses on delivering employability workshops and providing 1-2-1 career guidance to assist with career development, management and planning. She also provides a professional advisory service to researcher development managers and academics, as wlel as offering training in career guidance and coaching. Author of the book ‘Career planning for research bioscientists’, Sarah has published a number of papers and writes a monthly blog, www.biosciencecareers.org.
