Eleanor Sowerby is a Research Associate in Knowledge Mobilisation with the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast, based at Lancaster Medical School. She works with academic, clinical and community partners to support the meaningful use of research in practice.
With a nursing background spanning critical care, emergency care and hospice settings, alongside roles in primary care research and voluntary work in the third sector, Eleanor brings a grounded understanding of healthcare systems. Her work focuses on supporting implementation, drawing on approaches such as the Knowledge to Action cycle. She is interested in creative health, reflecting her belief in the role of creativity, connection, and the arts in supporting wellbeing and health.
