Dr. Shereen Nizari will kick off the 2021-22 BLS seminar series on Wednesday the 19th January at 13:00 in the Elisabeth Livingston lecture theatre. Shereen is a PDRA in Prof. Alex Gourine’s lab at UCL. She uses live and ex vivo brain imaging to explore fundamental mechanisms of blood flow in the brain. Her talk is entitled “Glucagon-like-peptide-1 induces cerebral arteriole dilations, increases cerebral blood flow, and promotes neuroprotection against ischaemic stroke.”
