Engineering student Rhea Middlemass recently won a £4,000 scholarship from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET). The Diamond Scholarship is designed to encourage people to take a career in Engineering, and to begin an IET accredited course.

Rhea - who also won an undergraduate scholarship from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in August - was thrilled to have won a second bursary from such esteemed institutions. Rhea was invited to to the IET to receive the award. "We had workshops in the morning telling us about different opportunities with the Institute, things like volunteering with them, professional accreditation information and more information about becoming a STEM ambassador. We get the opportunity to attend lots of different events and that's a good chance to network."
