Graduation Day

Graduation for undergraduate students will be taking place between Monday 13 and Friday 17 July 2026. Your graduation day will be a celebration of all the hard work you've put in over the last few years and formalises your passing from student to graduate - and of course you'll become one of our alumni.

The Graduation web pages have general advice and guidance about the day. Please ensure you regularly check your Lancaster University email account for important communications from both the Lancaster University Graduation Team and Furness College.

The timetable for graduation ceremonies will be released by the end of March 2026, and further details including the date and time of your specific ceremony and registration instructions will be shared by the Graduation team at that point.

College Celebrations

Information regarding College Celebrations for the 2026 graduating cohorts will be emailed to those eligible to graduate towards the end of the Lent term, and available on the college news portal page.

Invitation from the Principal

I have great pleasure in inviting you to attend the Furness College graduation celebrations. The College celebrations have always been one of the best occasions of the University year and we hope very much that you, your parents, family, friends and partners will be able to attend. Graduation Day is a very special occasion and the College events enable you both to celebrate with your family and friends and to meet up with fellow Furnessians.

Graduation Day for Furness College takes place on Wednesday 16 July 2025.

The Furness College group photo will take place at 12pm on Lancaster Square (outside the townhouses in County, at the back of the LICA building) and normally takes around 45 minutes. Irrespective of which ceremony you are in, please come along for this picture.Between 1pm and 5pm, the College is holding a FREE celebration. Please come along as we would love to celebrate with you.

If you are in the 10.30am ceremony, come and celebrate with us anytime between 1-3pm
If you are in the 1.45pm ceremony, come and celebrate with us anytime between 3-5pm

You do not need tickets to attend, and you are welcome to bring your family and friends along , we kindly ask that you only attend one of the celebration times above.

During the celebrations you can expect live music, free fizz, free sweet treats, and hopefully lots of sunshine! It is a great chance to see all your Furness friends and share in the celebrations. We will also have our own photographer who will be taking photos during the celebrations.

I do hope that you will be able to join me and the other College officers in celebrating this great day.
