A new informal space to read, share insights, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.

Lancaster University students are invited to unwind, connect, and get inspired at The Owls Nest Reading Corner, a new informal space for book lovers of all kinds. The series launches on Wednesday 21 January 2026 (week 12) in A29, Furness College, and will run every week until the end of Lent term.

Drop in anytime between 3–6pm to read, share insights, or simply enjoy the atmosphere as an informal book club begins to take shape. Whether you stay for ten minutes or the whole afternoon, everyone is welcome.

Dates for your calendar - every Wednesday from 3-6pm | 21 January, 28 January, 4 February, 11 February, 18 February, 25 February, 4 March, 11 March and 18 March.

Refreshments will be available, and the space is open to all Lancaster University students—no sign‑up, no pressure, just a cosy corner to enjoy good books and good company.
