Furness College in the Final of Debating competition
Congratulations to the Furness College team who have made it through to the final of the Inter-collegiate Debating competition.
Archie Aiken-Wood, Dominic Allen, Amelia Doran and Sakarias Westerberg are representing Furness College in this competition, which is supported by the Lancaster Debating Union.
The final is on Monday 25 November in the Management School Theatre 3 and starts at 19:00

Background Info:
“Uncontacted Peoples” are communities that exist largely in isolation from global civilization. Contact is often discouraged because of their poor immunity to common diseases (among other reasons), although safe contact is possible with appropriate precautions.
The Motion:
This house believes that states should actively attempt to make contact with uncontacted Peoples and provide them with modern medicine and technology.
Professor Geraint Johnes will present the Mace to the winning College.
