Join us on Tuesday 30th April for a FREE self-guided trip to Grizedale Forest in the Lake District! We will be approaching Grizedale forest via the Furness peninsula, travelling through Greenodd and Colton! (pre-book event)

Going for a walk is a simple step towards improving overall health. Walking keeps our bodies and minds healthy, giving us a breather from the stresses of daily life and a space to gather our thoughts. Exploring open countryside brings us closer to nature and there's increasing evidence that walking in nature is an important approach to improved mental health and general well-being, so join us and explore the fantastic forests and all that the area has to offer.

We do want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable visit, so before booking onto this self-guided excursion we suggest doing some research surrounding activities to do, things to see and most importantly what to wear etc. If you wish, you can independently book on to some paid activities, such as hiring a bike, Segway, Go-Ape. This is a pre-book only event and further details have been sent to those registered prior to the trip taking place.

Itinerary | Tuesday 30 April

10:20 (prompt) - Please make sure you are ready in good time for the coach, we suggest at least 10 minutes prior to departure from the perimeter road, just by the Furness residence blocks. Please ensure you have your Online Store receipt notification.

10:30 - Coach will leave campus and travel to Grizedale forest

16:15 - return to coach

16:30 - leave Grizedale forest to return to campus, please do not be late!
