Event Details

This event offers a chance to take a break, meet others, have a go at some crafting which you get to keep, and learn more about the range of help and support available across the College.

Feeling a little overwhelmed, unsettled or just not quite yourself? Perhaps you're missing home, adjusting to life in a new country and culture, or worried about how you'll manage your studies. You’re not alone. 💛 Wobble Week is here to remind you that these feelings are completely normal. Everyone experiences moments of uncertainty or self-doubt—a "wobble"—and they can happen to anyone, at any time. However you're feeling, it's OK.

This event offers a chance to take a break, meet others, have a go at some crafting which you get to keep, and learn more about the range of help and support available across the College.

As part of the Colleges Wobble Week, we’re inviting Furness undergraduate students to join us for an informal drop-in:

Date: Wednesday 7 October

Time: 3–4pm

Venue: Furness TV Room

Come along for some light refreshments and snacks, relaxed low-key crafting, and a chance to chat informally with members of the College staff including our Welfare Advisory team and our Community Assistants.

You can make something to take away with you, meet other students, or simply take some time out of your day.

The College Welfare Advisory Team is here for you throughout your time at Lancaster. Whether you’re dealing with studies, personal challenges, homesickness, health, money worries, or anything else, we’re here to listen and help. No issue is too big or too small.

And you don’t have to be struggling to come along! If you’re feeling settled and confident, we’d love to see you too.

Wobble Week is about looking out for one another, making connections, and building a kind, supportive Furness community. Sometimes, a friendly chat or simply showing up can make a real difference to someone else’s day.

Everyone is welcome — come as you are. 💚
