World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other and to yourself.
World Kindness Day is celebrated on November 13 of each year, has the purpose to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together, and that being kind can have a positive impact on individuals and communities.
There are plenty of other ways in which you can be kind today (and in the future and to make kindness the norm), it could be:
- Check in with friends and others
- Cook a meal for someone who is struggling
- Look in the mirror and say three positive things about yourself
- Include others and treat people with respect
- Give others the benefit of doubt
- Celebrate someone else's accomplishment
- Be reliable - eg. do the things that are expected or required of you, such as the recycling, tidying the kitchen and taking the bins out, even if it is not your turn on the rota!
- Compliment someone
- Lend a hand
- Share your positivity
- Most importantly, BE KIND TO YOURSELF
