Furness College is looking to appoint Community Assistants for the academic year 2024/25.

Applications are welcomed from current postgraduates and final year undergraduates who are intending to commence full time postgraduate study at Lancaster University in October 2024.

Candidates must be a full time Postgraduate student for the full year they are in post and should not be away from the University on substantial placement during the year. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from students who are on 4-year integrated masters and have an Undergraduate status.

REQUIREMENTS AND REWARDS:

Hours of work: maximum of 11.5 hours per week on an 11 months fixed term contract (Sept 2024-July 2025).

(NB: for Tier 4 international students these 11.5 hours contributes to the 20 hours of work permitted whilst in the UK).

College Community Assistants are required to reside on campus in the college of appointment.

Rate of pay: Grade 3 (£21,788 -£22,214) pro rata*, plus annual leave. (*This is a part-time role; pro rata means you get a proportion of the full-time wage advertised)
