The positions available are:

Notice of Elections: Michaelmas 2026/27 — LUSU

• President - Responsible for the co-ordination of the JCR Exec Officers in Furness College. Liaises with senior members of the college and university. Is the Primary representative for Furness college, and lead organiser of events such as the Winter Ball.
• Finance and Democracy Officer - arranges and chairs meetings, keeps the By-Laws up to date, oversees JCR elections, writes budgets and manages the spending of the JCR Exec, and helps make decisions for LUSUs democratic process.
• VP Wellbeing & Campaigns - Leads the development and delivery of wellbeing campaigns, takes responsibility for equality, diversity and inclusion, deputy for the President in case of absence, and acts as a line manager for the wellbeing and sports officers.
• VP Socials and Events Officer - Lead on JCR Socials and Events, line-manager for the Social & Events Officers and Media Officers, presents Trev Quiz with the social & events officers, helps to organise and run welcome week events, the winter ball and 15 hour social events, and helps organise the non-sport aspects of Patriots.
• Socials and Events Officers (x2 roles available) - Delivery of socials and events including: Trev Quiz, 15 hour social, Trevaoke, and more! Supports the VP Social and Events Officer in the organisation of these events, and helps to choose what events Furness college runs.
• International Officer - Represent the international community and make sure voices are heard. Bring international students' perspectives to meetings, and work with officers to make college life more inclusive. Help run and promote campaigns with LUSU and other colleges.
• Men's+ Sports Officer - Support all Furness sports teams by representing them in LUSU and JCR meetings. Organise major sporting events such as Patriots, the Memorial Day, and sports competitions and work alongside the Women's+ Sports Officer. Responsible for updating the Media and Communication Officers on Furness Sports fixtures, scores and photos for the Social Media pages. This role is for any student who self-identifies as male or non-binary, and cannot be held by someone on the Exec of a Furness Sports team.
• Women's+ Sports Officer - Support all Furness sports teams by representing them in LUSU and JCR meetings. Organise major sporting events such as Patriots, the Memorial Day, and sports competitions and work alongside the Men's+ Sports Officer. This role is for any student who self-identifies as female or non-binary, and cannot be held by someone on the Exec of a Furness Sports team.
• Media and Communications Officers (x3 roles available) - manages the social media, post weekly schedule updates throughout the academic year, create content for the social media platforms, take minutes at JCR Exec meetings and upload them to a shared Google-drive.
• Women's+ Officer - Represent the womens+ community within Furness and ensure voices are heard. Bring a Women's+ perspective to meetings, work with officers to make college life more inclusive, and help to run and promote campaigns with the LUSU and other colleges.
• Men's+ Officer - Represent the mens+ community within Furness and ensure voices are heard. Bring a men's+ perspective to meetings, work with officers to make college life more inclusive, and help to run and promote campaigns with the LUSU and other colleges.

You will be asked to complete a short form, adding your manifesto which details who you are and why the role interests you.
