We are starting to plan for our arrivals and Welcome Week activities and we need your support. Can you help our new students settle into life at Lancaster?

Furness College is now accepting applications for Welcome Reps 2025.

Being a Welcome Week Rep is a great way to get more involved in college life and to help new students settle in. For many, this is a huge step and a daunting one, your support can help ease their transition.

You will be welcoming incoming students to Furness College and Lancaster University, helping them settle in and find their way around campus.

If you are interested in having a key role in helping our new students find their feet then complete the application form and read the accompanying job specification for further details on what the role involves.

Being a Rep is also a great way to develop new skills and earn 15 points toward the Lancaster Award.

You must be available to attend the following in person events:

• Rep Training - this will be arranged by the Students' Union (tbc nearer the time)
• Rep Briefing - Saturday 27th September (tbc) this is a college-based briefing, delivered by your Wellbeing Team and JCR.
• Arrivals Day - Sunday 28 September (all day)
• Welcome Week - Runs from Saturday 27 September until Sunday 5 October 2025.
