Furness | Wobble Week

Purple Jelly advertising Furness College Wobble Week

Wobble Week is the time in the academic year when you may be feeling a little overwhelmed, perhaps you are missing home or worried about how you will manage your studies. You are not alone.

Join us in Furness Foyer from 11am on Wednesday 8 October, where will will have a wobble board.

If you would like to, please share any 'worries' and 'wobbles' on our wall or write an encouraging message of support for someone else.

We'd like to reassure people that almost everyone experiences moments of feeling unsure about things or having a 'wobble' - so what better time to share experiences than week one of the Michaelmas term.

You might be missing home, feeling like you don't fit in, you may be an international student who may be struggling with British Culture. We might have returning students who are finding the transition from first year to second year difficult to adjust to.

Wobbles can happen at any time but we want you to know that however you are feeling, it's OK.

So take some time out to join us, see what wobbles or supportive messages are on our boards, chat informally to others, share experiences and find out how to access support if needed.
