Ten Lectures in Cognitive Linguistics

Chris Hart began a series of ten lectures in cognitive linguistics and CDA as part of the prestigious "Ten Lectures" series organised by the China International Forum on Cognitive Linguistics and funded by the Beijing Grant for International Outstanding Scientists. Previous ten lectures have been delivered by George Lakoff, Ronald Langacker and Leonard Talmy among other eminent scholars in cognitive linguistics.

Chris will deliver ten lectures covering topics including: event-structure, metaphor, attention and perspective in political communication; intersemiotic metaphor and multimodal constructions in news communication; and gesture in political communication.
