The incidence of X-ray selected AGN in the nearby Universe by Dr. Keir Birchall from the University of Leicester
Abstract: Tracing AGN activity across cosmic time has been crucial in finding evidence for SMBH and galactic co-evolution. However, these samples tend to be incomplete, being dominated by brighter, more actively accreting AGN. In this talk, I will present results from my completeness-corrected measurements of the X-ray AGN population in the nearby Universe (z < 0.35). Using the resulting X-ray luminosity and Eddington ratio distributions, I will highlight how AGN incidence is dependent on host galaxy stellar mass, redshift, and star-formation rate
