Some highlights of the afternoon:
Hear from Dr Neil Johnson, a founding member of the Department in 1974.
Find out what Marion McClintock, the University archivist, has unearthed of the Department's history.
Hear about what it is like being a student in the first year of the Department and now, with Prof Charlie Lewis and Jess Pepper.
Listen to Prof Andy Ellis and Prof Andy Young, lecturers at Lancaster, who pioneered research on how the brain processes faces at Lancaster.
Prof Sue Gathercole, lecturer at Lancaster who worked measuring memory in children and its role in education.
Prof Tom Ormerod, professor at Lancaster, who led the Department for 6 years as HoD and established it in its leading role in the psychology of security.
Prof Kate Cain, professor at Lancaster, who led the Department for 6 years as HoD and has led the work on children's reading development at Lancaster.
Dr Sally Linkenauger and Dr Hannah Stewart on what psychology will be like in 2074.
