PGRC 2019 – Call for Papers
Lancaster University’s Postgraduate Research Conference will take place on the Saturday 18th May. This inter-disciplinary conference will showcase the work of researchers from Lancaster University and the University of Cumbria, giving presenters the chance to share their work with a diverse, non-specialist audience. The conference will also feature poster presentations, and a return of the international Three Minute Thesis competition (3MT®), with selected candidates entered into the national finals.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Knowledge Exchange’, Knowledge Exchange is defined by VITAE as “a two-way mutually beneficial process through which knowledge, know-how, expertise and skills are transferred from one party to another leading to innovative, social and economic improvement.”
As such we are seeking submissions from any discipline that demonstrate some element of ‘Knowledge Exchange’, to be featured in a short 10-minute presentation to a non-specialist audience.
We are also seeking poster presentations adhering to the same theme.
All abstract submissions should be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Wednesday 24th April.
Presentations will be selected based on the submitted abstract in order to provide a diverse programme. All that submit a poster abstract will have a chance to present a poster. Successful applicants will be informed by 29th April.
All electronic versions of posters (pdf) should be sent via email to email@example.com by Friday 10th May.
Submissions for posters and/or presentations should include:
- Abstract (up to 300 words)
We welcome submissions from distance learners, who can present via video conference (we will contact you to discuss the details after you have registered).
