Are you finding it more difficult to get everything you need as prices continue to go up?

Lonsdale has a range of ways to support you during these difficult times, courtesy of additional funds provided by the University.

These include:

  • WTF? Where's the Food - All of the undergraduate colleges are hosting two FREE food events during the Lent and Summer Terms. All events are open to all students, regardless of College. To find out when the next FREE food event is go to our College & Communities page on LibCal
  • College Financial Support - the college can help with Emergency Loans, and you can apply for financial support such as our Cost of Living Fund, Home for the Holidays fund, in addition to Travel Awards and Postgraduate Scholarships. Further information can be found on our College financial support page on the student portal.
  • Community Cupboard - Stocking essential long-life food items including sanitary and sexual health products to help those who are experiencing financial hardship. Located near the lift on the ground floor of Lonsdale College.

Available across campus - Free Sanitary Products

Free sanitary product vending machines are available around campus for both students and staff in the following accessible washrooms:

• Bowland North - B077

• Health Innovation One - D15d5

• LEC - C22

And in Lancaster and all around the UK, there's - Too Good to Go

Download the 'Too Good to Go' App and order your 'Magic Bag' from the Spar on campus for only £3. Each bag contains a selection of grocery items that could include fruits, vegetables, cakes, pastries, snacks, fish and meat. Contents depend on which items haven't sold that day, so it's a surprise until you pick it up
