Some recent results about Lipschitz-free spaces

Lipschitz-free spaces, also known as Arens-Eells spaces or transportation cost spaces, are Banach spaces that can be found at the interface between

functional analysis, metric geometry and optimal transport theory. While easy to define, their structure remains relatively poorly understood and many basic questions remain open. In this talk we present some recent results in connection with extremal structure and approximation properties.

This is mostly joint work with Ram´on Aliaga (Universitat Polit`ecnica de Val`encia), Eva Perneck´a (Czech Technical University, Prague) and Filip Talimdjioski (University College Dublin).
