We organise a number of activities to promote mathematics and statistics, through our work with schools.
Launched in 2018, our annual Year 10 Maths Enrichment Day involved school visits through June, with an on-campus celebration event held in July.
The Florence Nightingale Days are part of our continuing efforts to promote mathematics and statistics and especially the participation of women in those subjects.
This summer school, organised in conjunction with the Engineering Development Trust, is an opportunity for talented young mathematicians to experience university life and mathematics.
We would be pleased to welcome school groups to the Department and can also visit you at your school or college. We offer a range of free activities providing information, advice and guidance and encouraging students to consider Mathematics post-18.
Our Royal Institution Secondary Mathematics Masterclasses are an opportunity for GCSE pupils from the North West to explore advanced mathematics and statistics.
