Brownian excursions, conformal loop ensembles and critical Liouville quantum gravity

“Conformal Loop Ensemble (CLE) decorated Liouville quantum gravity (LQG)” is a continuum model in random planar geometry that is expected to describe the scaling limit of various discrete statistical physics models. More precisely, models of “random geometries” which come equipped with loop configurations (for example, describing interfaces in the system). I will discuss encodings of CLE decorated LQG by Brownian excursions; seemingly simpler objects for which we already have a developed theory. These encodings allow us to analyse various observables of interest in the CLE/LQG model. Part of this talk will be based on joint work with Juhan Aru, Nina Holden and Xin Sun.
