James Grant

STOR-i Research Associate, PhD student

I am a final year PhD student in the STOR-i Center for Doctoral Training. My PhD research focusses on sequential decision making problems with point process data as rewards. In particular I am interested in various bandit learning problems with Poisson process feedback - these problems are useful models of problems in surveillance and data collection. My other research interests include recommender systems and Bayesian nonparametrics. Prior to coming to Lancaster I completed a masters degree at the University of Glasgow and undergraduate degree at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
