The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Lancaster University offers a programme of specialist modules in Medical and Pharmaceutical Statistics aimed at professional medical statisticians.
These courses in applied statistics are provided by the Medical and Pharmaceutical Statistics Research Unit and sit within our masters programmes, but are available to external participants. Familiarity with statistical methodology at postgraduate level is assumed. There are different course fees depending upon whether you are a student, an academic researcher, or employed in a private company.
All professional development courses may be commissioned by a company or organisation, tailored to meet your special requirements and presented at a location of your choice both for statisticians and non-statisticians.
Please contact our Short Courses administrator to discuss your specific requirements or for further information. Applicants from outside the EU should note that these courses are not sufficient to permit a visa application for residence in the UK.
