Blanket Technologies: Capturing Heritage Textile Techniques
Project Leads
Led by Professor Judith Mottram, this project explores colour and pattern, approaches to recording skills and knowledge at risk, and cultural memory through heritage textile technologies.
Pattern / Patrwn, a series of displays of Welsh Blankets in The Ruskin, provide a backdrop to reconsidering the role of regional identity, tourism and functionality attributed to high value textiles.
