What Will You Study

The duration of this part-time course is flexible as it is offered on a modular basis. By enhancing your understanding of leadership and management theories and increasing your ability to apply this knowledge to real work issues, the course is suitable for those in management roles with sufficient autonomy and/or senior management support and access to resources to undertake projects impacting on your own and others’ professional practice.

Progression routes to Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Degree are available via Negotiated Work Based Learning.

The course is structured around includes six taught modules:

  • Personal Learning and Development
  • Understanding Leadership and Management
  • Strategic Analysis: What’s Driving Change in your Work Context?
  • Leading and Managing People
  • Collaborative and Team Working
  • Plus 1 optional module

Students may also make a claim (APL) to gain credits to exempt them from some modules by undertaking the module Recognition and Accreditation of Prior Learning (RAPL)
