Sport Lancaster supports the Students’ Union’s clubs and societies by providing competition-standard training facilities.
Students joining a sports team should purchase a unique Student Sport Pass, which, depending on the level of pass required, covers BUCS fees, governing body affiliation, competition transport costs, team access to training facilities, and subsidised kit.
A Sport Lancaster Membership, when paid in full (9 month or 12 month), can include the required Sports Pass and allow independent use of the sports centre’s training facilities, outside of team training.

Lancaster University’s Bike Hire Scheme provides students with a healthy, affordable, and enjoyable way to travel between the campus and Lancaster city. Both annual and termly options are available, with prices starting from £50.
The scheme includes a sustainably sourced, refurbished bike which is inspected and maintained termly by a local cycle specialist.
The Sport Lancaster Buddy Scheme is an initiative designed to enhance the fitness experience for students by pairing individuals based on shared interests, fitness levels, or schedules.
