Sport Lancaster's Rainbow Run raises £112 for Barnardo's Children's Charity

Runners dressed in bright colours running across campus

Over 30 runners attended Sport Lancaster’s Rainbow Run event last Wednesday, 11 March. The 4km run around campus was open to all age groups and fitness levels, with participants being encouraged to join in the fun, whether they chose to run, jog or walk. All runners were also asked to wear their brightest colours, with prizes available for the best dressed. It was great to see so many people dedicated to getting moving and raising money for a good cause!

The event was organised in partnership with Lancaster University Running and Athletics Club, raising funds for Barnardo’s Children’s Charity, who help support children and families at risk, and give them a chance to have a happier, healthier future.

We raised a total of £112 for Barnardo’s from the event. If you’d like to donate to the charity, click here.

We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who got involved or donated, as well as to our helpful volunteers from Lancaster University Running and Athletics Club and Lancaster University First Aid Society, we couldn’t have done it without you!
