Take part in the University Fitness League (UFL)
Sport Lancaster is recruiting fitness enthusiasts to join their University Fitness League (UFL) squad.
Sponsored by Grenade and Gymshark, the University Fitness League (UFL) is a competitive platform designed for university students to engage in fitness activities and promote well-being.
Each participating university forms a team of athletes who compete in various gym-based movements throughout the season, culminating in a series of knockout rounds that lead to a championship.
The UFL encourages participants to track their progress and improve overall fitness while fostering a sense of community among students.
An innovative scoring system allows participants to compete against one another regardless of their size, shape, weight, height, or sex assigned at birth. This system creates a gamified and equitable platform for competitive fitness.
While some participants may be designated as specialists for specific movements each month, all athletes are encouraged to attempt every fixture to assess their overall fitness level, which will serve as a benchmark for tracking improvement.
During the finals, every squad member must complete their assigned movement in each round. The competition will advance through several rounds, including the Round of 32, Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4, and ultimately culminate in the Championship.
Students should register online to join Sport Lancaster’s squad.
