Gemma Davies

Geographic Information Systems Officer

Research Interests

My role primarily involves supporting staff and students within LEC who wish to use GIS as part of their research, as well as teaching GIS and Remote Sensing on a range of taught undergraduate and postgraduate modules.

My research profile reflects the broad nature of my role and has seen the application of GIS to a wide variety of topics including: climate change and epidemiology; journey-time exposure to air pollution; food security; and mobility. My primary interest is in the geographical application of GIS to support research projects, rather than in the technological development of GIS.
