Research Overview

I am a plant physiologist and biochemist, working on the RIPE Project at Lancaster Environment Centre. I received my BSc (Hons) in Biology at Bangor University in North Wales, where I later earned my Ph.D. working on the physiology of harvested fruit and vegetables, focussing on utilising their own biochemistry against fungal pathogens in order to maintain their freshness. For the RIPE project, I am exploring the natural diversity of Rubisco catalytic properties from a wide variety of plant species in order to help identify the most promising variants.
