Research Overview

My research is on ecosystem carbon and nutrient cycling in grasslands and peatlands, and I am currently working on a Defra funded grassland project. My main research focus is on how differences in land use and plant communities affect plant and soil carbon cycling processes and soil carbon storage. My work is largely field based, and includes the measurement of greenhouse gas fluxes, soil microbial properties and the use of stable isotopes.
