#Don't Ditch It

To ensure social distancing there are no longer any donation points inside buildings. County students with items to donate can leave them in the large blue container in Bowland Avenue. Please read through the guidance below before taking your items to the container.

Social Distancing must be observed at all times:

  • Only one person to enter the container at once
  • Stand at least 2 metres away from the doorway to allow the person inside to space to exit
  • Re-use your own bags or use the clear bags provided to contain small donations within the cages and keep the space tidy
  • Large items such as clothing racks or printers can be placed loose inside the container
  • Please do not donate open packets of food, open hygiene or cosmetic items or general was as they pose an infection hazard for all users of the space.

You can donate:

  • Books, CD/DVDs and Stationery
  • Bedding, Clothing, Shoes and Coat hangers
  • Electrical items
  • Kitchenware
  • Sealed non-perishable food, packets or tins

You cannot donate:

  • Open food packets
  • Bathroom, hygiene and cosmetic items
  • General waste
  • Recyclable materials e.g cardboard or plastic bottles
