Sport Lancaster is encouraging the University community to engage in a form of physical activity on University Mental Health Day, Thursday 14 March.

The British Inspiration Trust (BRIT) exists to support and improve the mental health, fitness, and well-being, of young adults, students, and staff, throughout the UK.

As a University sporting facility, Sport Lancaster is uniting with 55+ north-west regional institutes partaking in the annual BRIT Challenge. The focus of the challenge this year is based on the theme of ‘24’, inspired by the year 2024.

Sport Lancaster’s take on the theme invites staff and students to walk for 24 minutes, or for 2.4km along the Woodland Walk and perimeter trail. In light of the BRIT Challenge, a 2.4km distance will be signposted along the trail and campus perimeter.

Individuals taking part in the challenge can be entered into a prize draw to win a £10 Amazon gift voucher by sharing their walk on Instagram, tagging @SportLancaster and using #SportLancasterBRITChallenge.
