A series of free workshops with professional visual and sound artists to create a show as part of the Light Up Lancaster trail. These workshops are open to young people aged 11-18, and all ability levels are welcome.
The Gregson is your canvas…
Make a statement in these free (half term) art and music workshops for young people aged 11-18. Led by professional artist Vaz Lockett and community musician and sound artist Charlie Brown, attendees will work with other young people to create an exhibition as part of the Light Up Lancaster trail.
Is language a barrier between generations? Reimagine the language of ‘youth’ (and its stereotypes) using visuals and sound. The Gregson Centre will be the canvas, illuminating what it means to be a young person, in your own words.
The workshops will run from 12pm until 4pm on the 23rd, 24th and 25th October.
Free, and no need to book.
Drinks and refreshments provided.
