The subject focus implies to study both Crusading and Islamic history. The living and fighting experience of all inhabitants are central to this study, which aims to target every part of Oriental societies. The project focus on seven key areas to understand siege warfare: logistics, economy, intelligence, contacts with enemies, religion and ritual, counter-offensive, and urban combat.
