Tina is passionate about the potential of Higher Education to transform the lives of students from all backgrounds. She seeks to support and challenge students to succeed in their studies, to make the most of university, and to aspire to meaningful careers.
Career Details
Tina is a qualified solicitor with a background in private client work. She started her academic career at the University of Central Lancashire where she taught law to students on both undergraduate and postgraduate (both academic and professional) courses for over twenty years. As Course Leader for year 1 undergraduate students on UCLan's law courses, she led effective curriculum development and legal education initiatives to enhance students' learning from the outset of their degree studies. She joined Lancaster University Law School in September 2022 to lead on their skills development and widening participation work. Tina has been a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2017.

Tina's scholarship interests are in skills development; widening participation; equality, diversity and inclusion; decolonising the curriculum; and legal education.
