We love to welcome our former students back to Grizedale, or hear how you are getting on. We hope you take away many fond memories and want to maintain your association with us.
We hold several memorial events every year where teams of alumni play current students at various sports and activities. The Alumni and Development Office also run a full programme of events through the year that appeal to a wide range of interests.
In March 2026, Grizedale College turns 50 years old. We will be holding a special celebration to mark the event. Details will be released in due course, but keep an eye on the college's social media pages and your email address. If you have any photos you'd like to share, do get in touch!
Every year the College football team play a game against an alumni XI in memory of former Gz Football B-Team captain, Jacques Brown. The game is usually held in Lent term and there’s always a hog roast to accompany it. The winning team is recognised in the bar where there’s a shirt in Jacques' honour and an honours board with the winning team.
In 2017, we held a reunion to welcome former Grizedale Principal, Bob Bliss back to the University.

Your generous donations will go towards the refresh of Grizedale's outside spaces with new benches in college colours. In addition to this, your support will also benefit Grizedale's events offering with the college having invested in a new PA system to enable us to put on more live music! The annual 'Pride of Grizedale' awards, which celebrates outstanding contributions from students within our college, are a long standing tradition now and continue to be a fixture at graduation.
