A showcase of the wide variety of impacts that the Faculty of Science and Technology's research has had on numerous different beneficiaries worldwide.

25 million students and teachers worldwide using the BBC micro:bit, operating on technology designed at Lancaster. An environmental model helping global corporations reduce their carbon footprint and shaping UK policy on greenhouse gas emissions. Billions of pounds spent by UK Government to enhance flood resilience in offshore oil rigs, based on the methodology in flood risk management developed at Lancaster.

These are just three examples of the 29 fantastic impact case studies submitted by FST departments to REF2021, where 96% of the impact that originated from our faculty's research was 'outstanding' or had 'considerable reach', to beneficiaries worldwide.

We would like to invite you to join us at InfoLab21 where these and our other impactful projects will be displayed across all three floors including the Sky Lounge.

You can also hear more about some of the support we provide to generate and enhance impact including the latest information on associated funding.

Please do feel free to invite any colleagues and indeed external collaborators who you think may be interested in attending.

Refreshments will be provided.
