The Future Places Centre is re-starting the Virtual Common Rooms (VCRs). They are held on Teams and are open to anyone on campus – especially those people interested in research around Morecambe Bay. The talks are relaxed and give an overview of what’s going

Our latest VCR has an Eden-project theme and will be chaired by Prof. Jo Knight. They last a little less than an hour and are designed to allow people to learn about each other’s research as if in the relaxed space of a common room. The talks are relaxed and give an overview of what’s going on, without slides, for approx. 15 mins, followed by a ‘can I learn more’ type of conversation.

We initially convened these during lock-down and found them incredibly well attended and effective, with new contacts and research collaboration happening across campus. We would love it if you were able to join us for this latest one - Thursday, 29th June at 11am, on Teams.”
