An in-person workshop taking place in LEC on 'life after the PhD'. The session is being organised by Will Haynes and Sally Cawood, to kick-start a Human Geography focused ECR network in/from LEC to support PGRs, postdocs and ECR lecturers.

This session will focus in particular on postdoctoral and fellowship opportunities in the social sciences. However, it is open to all, including our friends/colleagues in FASS, and interdisciplinary colleagues across LEC. So, please feel free to share the invite!

Tentative plan is to open with a talk from Laura Vela Serrano at RSO on different types of grants available, followed by a panel session involving Will Haynes, Sally Cawood and Charumita Vasudev (kindly joining us from Sociology). We will reflect on different funding schemes including Leverhulme, British Academy, Wellcome Trust and ESRC.

We will have plenty of discussion to hear from you, and explore what an ECR network might look like. Further information to follow (including exact times), but please save the date!
