We blend a range of traditional research fields with a focus on achieving impact. In 2025, we received the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Education to recognise the impact of our work, which spans a wide range of computing disciplines, from data and human-computer interaction to cybersecurity and AI. Our funders include UK Research and Innovation, the EU, and a range of national and international charities and companies.

    The ISF improves thinking, visioning, analysis and data relating to futures. It combines high-quality social science and humanities research with computer, engineering and medical science.
