Develop your own self-funded PhD proposal
If you have your own research idea, we can help you to develop it. To begin this process you will need to find a PhD Supervisor from one of our research groups, whose research interests align with your own.
You can also apply for a PhD at one of the Doctoral Training Centres and Partnerships that work with the School of Computing and Communications. All vacancies are also advertised in the Funded PhD section.
The Leverhulme Doctoral Scholarships Programme will provide a new cadre of 21 PhDs, equipped with a toolkit of methods that can be applied within their research and be applied to think through the likely consequences of their research. This toolkit will involve the analysis and application of the cradle-to-cradle (C2C) philosophy, circular economy, eco-innovation etc., married to intensive training in communication techniques– so that PhDs students are equipped to talk to boards, government, regulators and legislators and policymakers.
