The Distributed Systems research group explores the theory, design, and optimisation of a wide range of distributed systems, from Internet of Things to cloud and high-performance computing.

Networking

The Networking research group has a fundamental interest inSDN/NFV, packet-based, wireless, optical, 5G/6G mobile, NTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks) and LEO (Low Earth Orbit) technologies, and sensor network technologies.

Pervasive Systems

Our Pervasive Systems group researches the design, development, deployment and evaluation of mobile and pervasive computing systems and their applications.

Sustainable Computing

Our Sustainable Computing group focuses on environmental and social sustainability of ICT, the role of technology in supporting environmental science in balance with its impacts, and our relationship with and design of digital technologies in the world.
