Lancaster University is the best place in the North West to study Geography and Environmental Sciences, according to the Complete University Guide 2023.

Lancaster was placed 13^th nationally out of 76 universities for the subject and ranked 4^th nationally for the quality of its research in this area.

In Biological Sciences, Lancaster was ranked 2^nd in the Northwest region and 20^th out of 100 for the subject nationally.

Lancaster University overall also ranked top in the North West and was placed 11^th nationally.

The Complete University Guide league table is based on ten measures: Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Graduate Prospects – outcomes, Graduate Prospects – on track, Student-Staff Ratio, Spending on Academic Services, Spending on Student Facilities, and Completion. It includes 130 institutions.
