Eighty eight percent of Lancaster Geography and Environmental Science students were in graduate level jobs or doing further study six months after graduating, a higher proportion than at both Oxford and Cambridge.

Lancaster ranks eighth overall for the subject, which includes both physical and human geography. The ranking covers student satisfaction and the quality of research as well as graduate prospects.

Lancaster University was also ranked eighth in the UK, and third for graduate prospects, out of the 131 institutions included in The Complete University Guide.
