About us
We focus on understanding how animal behaviour and population ecology is influenced by ecological and evolutionary processes, and on exploring how underlying processes might be, or are already being, disrupted by global change.
We use a combination of fieldwork, laboratory experiments, and theoretical modelling to explore topics such as animal communication, mating systems, foraging strategies, migration, and social behaviours across the animal kingdom. Our work spans animal groups from birds, to tropical coral reef fish, to freshwater eels.
We are committed to addressing contemporary ecological challenges, including how behavioural and population ecology can inform biodiversity conservation and the impacts of anthropogenic disturbance.
