About us
The energy group investigates the environmental dimensions of current and future energy systems, focusing on transitions to low-carbon and sustainable energy futures.
Our research examines the complex interactions between energy technologies, infrastructures, and the social and ecological systems they affect, ranging from offshore renewables and energy storage to domestic energy practices and community initiatives.
Using an interdisciplinary approach with our colleagues in environmental science, engineering, and social science, we engage with policy, industry, and local communities to explore how energy transitions can be made more inclusive, equitable, and ecologically sound.
