About us

Hydrology research focuses on understanding the movement, distribution, and quality of water across landscapes.

We study how water interacts with soils, vegetation, and the atmosphere to change the ecosystem around it, something that could potentially develop into catastrophic effects such as flooding.

Using a combination of advanced sensor networks, modelling tools, and field experiments, we investigate processes such as groundwater recharge, surface runoff, and nutrient transport, all to improve water management and land-use pressures by developing predictive tools and news, more effective management strategies.
