Event Details

Lancaster University Bee Keepers (LUBK) are hosting a debate on the theme of: 'Genetic diversity versus breeding black bees: the pros and cons'. The debate will start with presentations by the panelists, who then will address questions from experts and the audience.

Whether you are a seasoned beekeeper or an interested student, head down to the Eco Hub and explore the topic of bees!

Expert panelists including Dr. Phil Donkersley from Lancaster University as well as Kath & Simon Cordingley from The Bee Centre will go head to head in a fascinating debate on the costs and benefits of breeding black bees. This event is free and open to all.
